Turano Insurance Agency

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 16th January, 2010

Project Bio: The Turano Insurance Agency approached Biomega with all the right ideas! This Honesdale, Pennsylvania insurance agency wanted to integrate social media, and leverage the content of their primary provider, Nationwide Insurance.

Upon hearing this we were stoked. There is nothing like working with a small business who is looking to work smarter, not harder! And so, we jumped on board and hit the design running. The end result is a site which helps carry through the brand of Nationwide while maintaining its individuality.

Furthermore, this site integrates with their newly established Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as with Nationwide’s own news and videos.

Northern Light Espresso Bar

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 1st December, 2009

Project Bio: Let’s just say we were so excited when Northern Light Espresso Bar contacted us.  As avid coffee drinkers, we were pleased to have the opportunity to help any cafe’.  Not to mention we love doing work for downtown Scranton businesses that are tied into the arts and music scene.

So needless to say this job was a joy.  From start to end, it was a pleasure to work with this great cafe’.  They were completely open to a graphic intensive site.  The background is even one of their coffee bags!

Ryan Leckey

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 30th October, 2009

Project Bio: If you live in Northeastern Pennsylvania, wake up relatively early, and own a TV; you probably know Ryan Leckey.  This Scranton based television personality is the WNEP force to be reckoned with in the morning.  Giving new meaning to caffeine, The Leckenator, is a true animal. He was great to work with.  Full of energy and ideas, we bounced web ideas of one another for quite some time before we settled on the content he really wanted to convey.

In the end, we nailed it.  Now not only is Ryan bringing you news from WNEP, but also from his own personal website; as he blogs, vlogs, and tweets up a storm.  If you don’t already know Ryan, you should.  So check out the website, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.  He has enough energy to be on them all!

When does he sleep???

Fanciful Fox

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 25th October, 2009

Project Bio: With the Fanciful Fox project, Biomega got the opportunity to work with one of its favorite Scranton boutiques! And they did not let us down. The Foxs’ were an absolute pleasure to work with, just like they are a pleasure when you are shopping in their awesome soap and candle shop.

The site itself features an e-commerce engine and blog built into one seamless website, with a hint of social media integration for an optimal user experience. And if I do say so myself, it certainly gives you that with its excellent products and a fun design. It is almost as if the site is a perfect reflection of the shop itself.

So check out the website, and the Fanciful Fox Facebook page.  And If you live in the Scranton area, you have to check this boutique out.

P.S. I recommend the dead sea products, as well as the Cocoa Butter Perfect Deodorant!

Charles Havira

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 6th October, 2009

Project Bio: Charles Havira is one of those legendary Scranton artists who have played all of the scene since his youth. An amazingly talented musician, Charles can be low key and pleasant, or dark and heavy! Every show is different. And that is the beauty in Charles.

Likewise we felt privileged when he approach Biomega to come up with a fresh, lighter look, for his website. The end result is a minimalist site, just the way Charles likes it, but with plenty of social media integration. So check out the site, or follow him on Facebook or Twitter. It’s up to you. Either way, you are sure to be pleased!

Pages and Places

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 1st August, 2009

Project Bio: Pages and Places is a book festival which takes place in Scranton Pennsylvania. 2009 was the inaugural year, and we at Biomega were very pleased to be asked to help support this festival in its infancy.

Being the first year, we put a large emphasis on increasing visibility of this new literary festival.  And boy did we do so.  Harnessing the power of their great blogs, they pulled in traffic from all of the world.

Needless to say they were a great team to work with.  We wish every job could be like this.

Get ready for 2010, its going to be a great one!

Scranton Jazz Festival

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 26th May, 2009

Project Bio: The Scranton Jazz Festival has been a favorite of Biomega for quite a few years now.  Being ardent music lovers,we have attended numerous times, and really just appreciate the talent that shows in up in Scranton for a few days.  Likewise, when we were put in touch with the contemporary great, Marko Marcinko, we were thrilled.

The Jazz Fest site unlike some, gave us an opportunity at Biomega to really be expressive.  We found it very acceptable to work with loud colors, and we ran with it.  Built into the site are some great galleries, of fantastic photos from the many successful years the Scranton Jazz Festival has been running; as well as some great info about the 2009 artists.

We are really looking forward to next year!

80 Days In India

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 19th May, 2009

Project Bio: Recently, Biomega was approached by a local Scranton photographer, Nicole Barrasse, and asked to create a travel blog for her 2009 trip to India.  And with that 80 Days In India was born.

As this work was pro-bono, the theme was not designed by Biomega, though the site was configured by our staff.   And though it is not overly-frilly, it serves the direct purpose of converying the work of this great photographer.

So check it out, and be sure to carefully peruse the beautiful photography of India!

Anthology New and Used Books

Posted by Biomega Technologies at 26th April, 2009

Project Bio: One of the best local businesses in Scranton Pennsylvania, and the only bookstore one should ever go to in the area! Like its parent company, Outrageous, Anthology is just a blast! The team of Paul Nardone and Andrea Talarico is a winning pair.

Likewise, they are great to work with. Forward thinking and aware of the trends, this site is loaded with great content and social media interaction. From tweets, to Goodreads feeds, to the Indie Next List updates; this site has all the hip content related to literature.

Looking for events, they have them too! With great book clubs, author signings, and poetry readings; you will want to pay attention to their event calendar.

If you are ever looking for either a new or used book, this is the place to go!  So check out their site, and get a feel what Anthology can offer. Oh, and check them out on Facebook and Twitter.
