Project Bio: The Turano Insurance Agency approached Biomega with all the right ideas! This Honesdale, Pennsylvania insurance agency wanted to integrate social media, and leverage the content of their primary provider, Nationwide Insurance.

Upon hearing this we were stoked. There is nothing like working with a small business who is looking to work smarter, not harder! And so, we jumped on board and hit the design running. The end result is a site which helps carry through the brand of Nationwide while maintaining its individuality.

Furthermore, this site integrates with their newly established Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as with Nationwide’s own news and videos.

For those of you who have been waiting for Google to offer online storage for any document, wait no longer. Now Google Docs allows you to upload any file type you wish, thereby creating virtual storage that you can access from anywhere.  This includes yourr mobile phone, assuming the phone will open the file type!

Anyways, great strides forward once again.  I know this will help my work flow!

Caryl Picker

Project Bio: When Caryl Picker approached Biomega, the first thing that stood out was her work.  An amazing sculptor and jewelry designer from the Clarks Summit area, Caryl Picker’s work has shown in Tiffany & Co.’s windows and has  been worn by the Joffrey Ballet.

So obviously we jumped all over it!

As we love working with other artists, this project was great.  It was a fantastic opportunity for use to learn more about sculpting and jewelry designing, as well for Mrs. Picker to learn about the web.  One might describe it has harmonious and moving as Caryl’s work itself.  All in all it has been exponentially beneficial to both parties, and in the end we were both very pleased with the way this flash-based website turned out.

In Google’s increase push towards providing local results, their mobile homepage now provides information for businesses near by you, but like many iPhone apps, and along the lines of Yelp. What does all of this mean? Well it is probably rather good for users of the mobile homepage, though disrupting to us in the SEO business. Why you may ask? Well because these are searchless results. Hence if a person chooses to use this functionality in say Scranton, PA, they may no longer search for Scranton Restaurant (which we could technically optimize for), and instead simply look for what is nearby. So now they key is, get in the listings!

Project Bio: Restored Harmony is a website which has been created to serve as a multi-purpose information portal, with the intention of offering and gathering information related to the contamination of our natural resources. For this task, Biomega was approached by David Jennings of Clarks Summit to help fight the pollution of Ackerly Creek by the Stinnes Corporation, and hence this site is primarily dedicated to that cause. However, with that being said, the site is intended to be a paradigm of how one individual can fight big business when they are doing wrong.  And David does that well here!

With a great document archive of plethora of EPA and DEP documents, as well as many correspondences with leading officials, Restored Harmony is certainly a resource for anyone interested in stopping the polluting of our natural resources.

  • often times your business name is always a solid choice
  • keywords will help it b found from searches
  • make it catchy if possible
  • keep it short
